United Church Women (UCW)

 Purpose:      
To unite women of the congregation for the total mission of the church and to provide a medium through which we may express our loyalty and devotion to Jesus Christ in Christian witness, study, fellowship and service.

Goals:
                        •    to provide opportunities for fellowship and mutual support.
                        •    to encourage growth in Christian understanding, faith and experience.
                        •    to encourage informed participation in the mission of the church.
                        •    to encourage Christian stewardship in all of life.
                        •    to share financially in supporting the church both locally and nationally.
                        •    to develop Christian leadership for church and community.
                        •    to appoint or nominate representatives to other bodies, of the church, as required.
                        •    to encourage ecumenical understanding.

Meeting Time: 
•    meets the third Thursday morning of the month.

Activities:
Celebration of Women’s Potluck Supper, Pancake Brunch, Women’s Retreat, World Day of Prayer, Strawberry Tea, Spring Luncheon, Harvest Cafe, Presbyteral Events.

Financial Support:
                       Mission and Service Fund, Leprosy Mission, St. Stephen’s and St. Andrew’s Colleges, Bursary Fund, Gladys Christianson Fund, Bissell Centre.
