Our community emerged in response to the rapid growth of Northeast Edmonton (north of 137th Avenue), and began serving the needs of people in the area around 1969. In March 1970, we officially became 'United.' At that time, services were held in M.E. Lazerte High School. As the congregation grew, so did our vision, to include construction of our present structure. The Building which has become our home at 137th Avenue and 74 Street was opened and dedicated in October 1988 and named in honor of Dr. Robert McClure, former medical missioner and Moderator of the United Church of Canada. We are an established Christian faith community seeking to grow stronger... * spiritually * in our ability to serve and respond to our community and its needs. We are a diverse congregation. We take seriously all aspects of church life. We believe that Christian growth happens best in a loving community, so we welcome families and individuals who want to grow along with us.
